Take Time to Be Holy

"Work may be done for six days, but on the seventh day there is to be a Sabbath of complete rest, a sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; it is a Sabbath to the Lord wherever you live." - Leviticus 23:3

Our world prides itself on busyness. Perhaps this is a reflection of our view of our own importance. When we stop to rest this can be an important acknowledgement that we're not the ones who keep the world spinning - God is. Consider the words of the old hymn "Take Time to Be Holy" - "Take time to be holy, the world rushes on; Spend much time in secret, with Jesus alone. By looking to Jesus, like Him thou shalt be; Thy friends in thy conduct His likeness shall see."

Talking point - What can you do next Sunday to make the day more restful and spiritually recharging? Take the time to rest and reflect on what God has done and will do in your life.
