Trust in God's Promises
'Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” Then the two of them walked on together. - Genesis 22:8
When God asked Abraham to sacrifice his only son, instead of arguing or negotiating, Abraham chose to believe. Abraham knew God had promised to make his offspring more numerous than the stars, and he knew God keeps his promises, so he believed his obedience would not end in the death of his son.
