Ultimate Good
"Then Joseph said to his brothers, “Please, come near me,” and they came near. “I am Joseph, your brother,” he said, “the one you sold into Egypt. And now don’t be grieved or angry with yourselves for selling me here, because God sent me ahead of you to preserve life." Genesis 45:4-5
Joseph went from being a slave, to a prisoner, to Pharoah's second-in-command. Because of Joseph's role in Egypt, countless lives were saved from famine. Although it is difficult to see in the moment, God can use even the worst circumstances of our lives to ultimately bring about our good and his glory.
Talking point - When was a time a difficult circumstance ultimately worked out for good? At what point were you finally able to see God's hand at work?
Prayer suggestion: Thank God for his faithfulness to help us persevere through difficult circumstances.
