Love Your Enemies

“If you come across your enemy’s stray ox or donkey, you must return it to him. If you see the donkey of someone who hates you lying helpless under its load, and you want to refrain from helping it, you must help with it. - Exodus 23:4-5

Sometimes it's difficult to apply the laws from the Old Testament period because they deal with customs or situations that no longer apply to us. But although most of us don't see donkeys on a regular basis, it's easy to get the thrust of the passages above - work for the good of everyone, even someone who acts like an enemy!
