God Equips The Called

"But Moses replied to the Lord, 'Please, Lord, I have never been eloquent...because my mouth and my tongue are sluggish.' The Lord said to him, 'Who placed a mouth on humans? Who makes a person mute or deaf, seeing or blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go! I will help you speak and I will teach you what to say.'” - Exodus 4:10-12

Oftentimes we compare ourselves to others and find our abilities lacking. But in this story Moses learned a valuable lesson - God does not call the equipped, he equips the called! When we step out in obedience to him, he gives us what we need to finish the task. Remember that His power is perfected in our weakness! (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Prayer Suggestion - Think back to a time when God gave you the ability to do something you thought you'd never be able to do. Thank God for how he has helped you in the past and pray for faith to step out in obedience in the future!
